The concrete plant, also known as concrete batching plant or concrete mixing plant, is equipment that combines various ingredients to form concrete.

Generally speaking, the concrete batching plant is mainly composed of five major systems and other ancillary facilities, such as mixer, a material weighing system, a material conveying system, ect.

As we all know, the mixer is an important part of concrete batching plant. It usually can be categorized as drum mixer, double shaft mixer and planetary mixer. In general, batching plant with drum mixer, we could call it drum plant. And concrete batching plant is usually equipped with double shaft mixer due to its high-level automation, high productivity, simple operation, quick discharging and long service life.

Besides, concrete batching plant also can be equipped with planetary mixer. And the specific configuration of the equipment can be adjusted according to the user’s installation site and actual demand.

Drum plant, also known as self-falling concrete plant, can be traced to twenty century. Drum plant was used for on-site concrete mixing. But due to its low stirring efficiency and the problem of dust and noise, it gradually replaced by concrete batching plant.

Nowadays, the concrete batching plant with twin shaft mixer is widely used in construction sector. The reason is that the twin shaft mixer has high productivity due to its high degree of mechanization and automation. Concrete batching plant is normally used in large-sized and medium-sized water conservancy, electric power and bridge projects that have a long construction period, concentrated construction sites and large demand for concrete.

In addition, the concrete batching plant with planetary mixer is more suitable for smaller applications, precast products and mixing semi-dry colored concrete.

Suggestion: You are going to make a long term investment. It is important that you understand your primary requirement and then select a product accordingly.
